Peavy - Math

Well hello everyone,
I am very proud of all of my students so far. We are all learning how to work together very smoothly. So far all of the middle school math classes have progressed remarkably. Here is a quick run down.
Pre-Algebra: We are becoming familiar to the early concepts of integers, both with addition and subtraction of positive and negative numbers. We have a test this Friday, Sept 3rd, covering absolute values, and addition and subtraction of integers. Next week we will be pursuing multiplication and division with integers.
Math 7: We have finally conquered time changes as many of you may already have experienced. The kids are doing great. We are building on many concepts from 6th grade and I expect this class will be well prepared as the year goes on. We also will have a Unit test this Friday.
Math 6: We have completed Chapter 1 with a breeze. The kids have had their first true touch of manipulating equations. Great job guys. Our test over Chapter 1 is scheduled for this Friday, Sept 3.
I thank each and every one of you for the opportunity to teach your children, and kids, I thank you for bringing a smile to my face daily. You are true blessings upon me. Have a safe Labor Day weekend. Relax, enjoy and love.
