The annual 8th grade meeting, explaining to incoming freshman the expectations and requirements of high school, will be held on Tuesday, May 3 for 8th grade students and their parents. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria, and will begin at 6:00 pm. Speakers will include Dr. Charles Bearinger, Academic Dean, Ms. Marzullo, High School Assistant Principal, and Ms. Dianne Hornsby, School Registrar.
Subjects to be discussed will pertain to the importance of GPA, TEA and Federal requirements to graduate, Academic requirements, lockers, PSAT, 8th grade graduation,etc. It is important that all 8th grade and their parents attend this meeting. It will answer many questions that you may have. If you have any questions, please call Ms. Marzullo.
Senior picnic
Attention Seniors!
Do not forget the most awesome day in May; the Senior picnic is scheduled for Friday, May 13 down in Jamaica Beach at 10:00am until 2:00pm!!
This is your opportunity to challenge your friends (or chaperones) to a game of volleyball, basketball, and/or horseshoes. There will also be boats available (a paddle boat and power boat) if you want to go out into the bay. Bring a towel, bathing suit, and an appetite because there will be hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the school (cooked to perfection by the talented chefs, Mr. Guillot and Company!), and side dishes that you have signed up to bring.
Many Seniors have also mentioned Schlitterbahn after the picnic, which is optional and not school sanctioned.

2011/2012 Early Registration
It's time to begin registering for the 2011-2012 School Year. Currently,you may reserve your child's place at CLCS and avoid the tuition increase by locking in the 2010-2011 standard tuition rate. Registration packets are available in our front office and must accompany your registration payment to qualify for the Early Registration fee and tuition lock.

Clear Lake Christian School was founded in 1993 under the name of Grace Christian School. It was designed to provide quality Christian Education to the Clear Lake and Bay Area of southern Houston. Since the school’s inception, we have focused on teaching students the principles of Christian leadership, self-discipline, responsibility, integrity and good citizenship.
The School has grown, and now has over 300 children in grades K-12. We also, as in previous years, will be hosting foreign exchange students. We have a science lab, computer lab, band room, choir room, and library. We offer a variety of sports programs for our male and female athletes in both high school and Jr. High.
Hours of Operation: CLCS school hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students may begin arriving to our gym no earlier than 7:45 a.m.
Extended care: (6 a.m.-8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.-6 p.m.) for children in kindergarten through fifth grade is offered through the school's affiliated daycare/preschool Discovery Kingdom Child Development Center (281-280-8282). Discovery Kingdom also has a drop-in program for those times you find that you will not be able to pick up your child at 3:30 P.M.
